Barack Obama and Angela Merkel were present for the opening of this year’s HANNOVER MESSE.
The world’s most important industrial trade fair, which was organised in cooperation with partner country USA, had “Integrated Industry – Discover Solutions” as its main theme. Industry 4.0 was formally demonstrated with a multitude of application examples for the digitalisation of production. The second central theme of the trade fair was the energy system of the future, Integrated Energy. More than 5,200 exhibitors and more than 190,000 visitors, of which more than 50,000 came from abroad, attended the event to experience the digital future up close and to invest in modern technologies.
