Virtuell: LSX World Congress 2021
online
With more than 2000 participants and over 180 speakers, the LSX World Congress starts at the beginning of February. The trade event for international experts from the biotech, healthtech and medtech sectors, which has been taking place for 6 years, will be held virtually for the first time in 2021.
During the 5-day conference, the Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) and Invest Region Leipzig (IRL) will jointly promote Saxony and the Leipzig region as one of the most agile life sciences regions in Germany. Companies and research institutions that are also internationally established in the fields of biotechnology, biomedicine, medical technology and bioinformatics have now settled in the dynamically growing location. Selected companies from Leipzig and Dresden will support the congress with their own presentations as part of a showcase. This will be exemplified in the specialist lecture by Dr Thomas Tradler from the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology. He will show what the cell and gene therapy cluster does at the Leipzig location. In addition, the Fraunhofer Institute supports biotechnology companies as a development service provider and partner. Also significant in this context is the SaxoCell future cluster with its far-reaching effects on the science and business region, which the speakers will discuss.
In the first week of February, the LSX World Congress will bring together start-ups, companies from different countries, listed bioscience giants and investors from the sectors, R & D management and service companies for joint networking with top-class participants: For the strategies of the future in healthcare and life sciences.
