aevoloop launches in Leipzig

New company headquarters for planet-safe plastics recycling

In spring 2025, the chemical start-up aevoloop relocated its headquarters from Constance to Leipzig in order to bundle research, development and initial pilot production on a total of 600 m² at the DBFZ (German Biomass Research Centre). The current 14-strong team is pursuing the goal of realising ‘planet-safe’ plastics recycling without compromising on performance or functionality.

Support from Invest Region Leipzig

With the support of IRL, the founders Manuel Häußler and Philipp Kessler were able to quickly gain an impression of the available space in Leipzig through a targeted location analysis and site search. At the same time, we connected them with network partners and potential specialists - for example by participating in the Work in Leipzig event.

Financially, aevoloop continues to benefit from the SPRIND validation in 2023 and start-up funding of almost EUR 1 million, which paves the way for the construction of its own pilot plant. The first customer projects are already underway, and with an upcoming seed round, the expansion of the technology on its own two feet is imminent.
