Representing Leipzig in England

As part of the SACHSEN SAIL programme, Invest Region Leipzig (IRL) joined a large business delegation to present the competitive advantages of the Leipzig Region in one of its key international markets.

New Contacts and Investment Opportunities

The programme included company visits, industry events and in-depth discussions with representatives from business and government.

In Leipzig's twin city of Birmingham, Invest Region Leipzig participated in the official programme alongside Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Clemens Schülke.

Beyond the official agenda, there were numerous opportunities to establish new contacts. For example, IRL CEO Michael Körner met with Joe Manning from Invest Manchester and John Leake from Sci-Tech Daresbury.

Throughout the visit, there was strong interest in the Leipzig Region as a business location. Invest Region Leipzig now looks forward to turning these conversations into concrete projects and further strengthening the ties between both regions.
