OnA chooses Leipzig as its new location
Invest Region Leipzig GmbH (IRL) is pleased to announce another exciting business expansion to the region: OnA GmbH. Founded by Theresa Kellner, Norman Kamp and Birger Schneider, the company is an interdisciplinary consultancy specializing in interior architecture, transformation and strategic spatial concepts.
"We are not only interested in how a space looks, but in the impact it has on the people who use it. We analyse, advise, design and deliver projects with the goal of creating places that make culture visible, foster collaboration, support learning and enable change," says Theresa Kellner.
Leipzig offers an inspiring environment
Following its office in Düsseldorf, OnA has now opened a second location in Leipzig. Several factors influenced the company's decision to establish a presence in the Saxon metropolis.
"Leipzig is an excellent fit for what OnA stands for. The city combines economic dynamism, cultural diversity and a strong academic landscape with a genuine ambition to shape the future. At the same time, Leipzig, like many cities and organizations, is undergoing continuous transformation. We see tremendous potential here for the topics we focus on: future-oriented workplaces, innovative learning environments, the revitalization of existing buildings and public spaces that encourage interaction and participation. Leipzig provides an inspiring environment and a remarkable openness to new ideas. The positive response we received and the first concrete inquiries from the region further confirmed our decision to establish a location here," explains Theresa Kellner.
Arriving Made Easy
Comprehensive support from Invest Region Leipzig throughout the relocation process also played an important role in the company's decision.
"Invest Region Leipzig not only introduced us to suitable office options, but also provided valuable insights into the different submarkets, development prospects and qualities of potential locations," says Birger Schneider.
The company ultimately chose a coworking space at Klinge 22, a creative business hub located on a former industrial site in Leipzig's vibrant Plagwitz district.
"Exchanging ideas with other companies, creative professionals and regional stakeholders is very important to us. This allows us to get to know Leipzig, its networks and its dynamic business environment even better before moving into our own premises in the future," Birger Schneider adds.
IRL's extensive regional network also proved highly valuable for OnA as the company settled into Leipzig.
"Especially as a young company, it is incredibly helpful to meet partners who not only provide information but actively create connections. That made our start in Leipzig significantly easier," says Theresa Kellner.
Norman Kamp adds: "From our very first conversation, Invest Region Leipzig supported us in an open, straightforward and highly collaborative manner. What impressed us most was the region's strong culture of welcoming new businesses. We never felt like just another investment project. Instead, our individual questions and needs were taken seriously and actively supported."
Long-Term Growth Plans
Looking ahead, Norman Kamp sees OnA becoming a strong regional partner for future-oriented spatial concepts. "Our goal is to continuously expand our network in the region, collaborate with local partners and gradually grow our Leipzig team. Together with our clients and partners, we want to create real added value for Leipzig and Central Germany."
